“The committee strongly supports these up and coming riders in their quest for medals and personal bests at this years competition, individually and as a combined Junior team,” stated Linda Plank, chair of the Canadian Eventing Athlete Development Committee. “This competition provides our riders the unique opportunity to work in a team environment while learning more about their fellow riders from across the country. We will be cheering for them, and wish them a safe and successful competition.”
The North American Junior/Young Riders Championships are held annually under the rules of the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI)—the international governing body for equestrian sport. The competition hosts the Olympic disciplines of Eventing, Dressage and Show Jumping and for the first time this year the competition includes the sport of Reining.
